Missing elevation profile when exported

I have experienced this on and off and its only yesterday that I figured out what causes it.

When the footages I use all are within the timeframe of the FIT file, everything is fine.

??????When I have footages that are just before the ride to use as some intro in the video that I am making, when I export, the elevation profile/graph is always missing, but all other gauges are there, include elevation shown as numbers.

Is this by design?

This has saved me quite a lot of pain. I have the very same issue, the elevation profile works in the preview... but not in the exported film.

My plan is to export the ride footage with the overlays from VIRB, then use something like Premier to create the final film. It's a bit long-winded, but I can't think of another solution right now.
