Relinking My Collection on new computer without backup/restore

Hi, I've recently swapped to a new computer, and with all the things that needed updating, I forgot to do the backup from within my HomePort, so that I could restore My Collection on my new laptop. I've since wiped the old computer, but I do have old Time Machine backups of it. Is there a way for me to restore My Collection from those old backups? I've done a search for alldata.gdb, but not sure if that's a PC name for the file?

Grateful for any thoughts!

Cheers!

SUSSAMB Thanks, although as you can see here, I've already tried searching for alldata.gdb without success. Even now, on a new computer with a fresh install of basecamp and homeport, this search does not return any results. I've been in contact with Garmin support, and they (rather unhelpfully) gave me the PC filepath and noted "this may not work on a MAC" . Also spent a good 45 minutes on support, who were entirely unhelpful and seemed perplexed they even offered a MAC version. I'm a bit stumped now, and it seems I have just lost years of organised tracks and waypoints.

It amazes me that the My Collection files are not accessible after a complete backup, but you have to export/import to access the data on a new computer. What if your computer gets stolen or broken, surely a complete backup should be enough? Seems like a fatal flaw of this software...
  • Well you must be doing the search wrong if you can't find AllData.gdb or I'm wrong and on a Mac it's a different file name.
