Apple Silicon Support

In that case can Garmin please contact Apple and stop then popping up alerts on my screen every single day when I switch on my MacBook that I need to replace the Garmin app?

The pop-ups that Garmin is causing are very annoying and it isn't as if they hadn't had time to fix this in the last 4 years as every other tool provider in my MacBook has seemingly been able to (except Garmin of course)

And for the timing, since 2013 a new version of macOS (or OS X) was released every year in september, october or november. So it's pretty obvious that macOS 28 will be released in fall 2027.

But that doesn't change the fact that my current Garmin products are my last: for six years, they've been unable to do what much smaller manufacturers did a long time ago. What a shame! And the fact that they have so many customers says a lot about us...

It is not a rumor, computers running the current and beta version of Mac OS 27 notify the user that the app will lose support. Also, Apple has publicly stated that apps using Rosetta will cease to function with MacOS 28 and the current version of Garmin Express requires Rosetta. 

I was not defending Garmin, however they have another year to go until the current version of the software will cease to function. I hope that they are working on migrating the app to a Universal application. That should be a very easy process for them to complete and it is disappointing that they have not done this already.

Seems they are far too busy tending to issues with newly released GPS units as well as all the watches, the horse health tracking sensor, trolling motors, etc, etc.

Maybe you missed it, but someone from Garmin did confirm they are working on a universal version of Express:

This will be addressed with a future version of Express that natively supports Apple Silicon however, we have no exact time-frame to provide. I didn't miss anything. I am fully aware of that. I made a generalized statement towards Garmin's software development and it's "issues".

A .x release at least should have enabled installation on Macs running macOS Golden Gate, but no.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were no Apple Silicon app until the MacOS 28 beta cycle begins.

After 14 years of Garmin fitness products, I will buy no more until they actually release a Silicon-compatible GE.  They have had 7+ years to work on it.  And too many good competitive products out there to waste my time with empty Garmin promises.
