Apple Silicon Support

Question

Garmin, please update Garmin Express and release a NATIVE arm64 release for macOS. 
 Apple hasn't sold an Intel Mac in *years* and it's beyond embarrassing that zero effort has been put into support Apple users. 
 Reminder, Apple users have more disposable income than any other type of computer buyer. Do the right thing and put some engineering effort into this growing platform!

We appreciate you all reaching out about potential support for our Express program to work with Apple Silicon-based Mac computers. 
 While we don't typically announce what may or may not be supported in the future, we also understand that the support for Rosetta is ending and it's important to find out for sure. 
 This will be addressed with a future version of Express that natively supports Apple Silicon however, we have no exact time-frame to provide. We are aiming for it to be released this year though. I would recommend periodically checking our Express page as well as book marking this thread for additional information.

Dear Garmin Customer Support, 
 Until you have a clear timeline on when a version of Garmin Express that will work on Apple Silicon-based MAC, I would suggest you should WARN all potential buyers that Garmin do not have such software available. 
 This is absolutely unacceptable for Garmin to be selling expensive watches and yet pay no attention to support your software for users with Apple Silicon-based MAC. Without these desktop apps, your watches are only at best 1/2 functioning or worst overpriced rubbish. 
 I have been supporting Garmin watches for over 14 years. At this moment, I am disappointed and would definitely NOT recommend your watches to anyone who may need your software for Apple Silicon-based MAC .

I've found a workaround Download the 7.29 DMG. Copy the installer package to your machine, and use an app call unpkg (I got it from Homebrew) and decompress the installer package. Inside the folder it creates is 5-6 folders and a few files. Then Show Package contents for the pre-existing 7.28 GE install, and copy the files from the package you decompressed into this folder (making sure GE is closed down) I now have 7.29 working on OSX27

Too little, too late. The reply screams that a Garmin Employee has no idea what we're talking about. All of Garmin's major competitors have updated software, but this company, who is tone deaf to it's customers only seems to talk through it's 'influencers' like DC Rainmaker. 
 Geez, if Apple ever gets its act together, and tweak a few settings on its Ultra watch model, Garmin will be shot with an arrow so piercing, it won't recover. It's Marq branding is a failure. The leading top watch brands all have digital versions, and even Coros has achieved in recent years what Garmin cannot!
