As you can see from the attachment, my Forerunner 15 will not sync with GC. I have been away from home for three weeks and upon my return, I found that there is a new version of GE (currently I'm running 4.0.5.0). I updated and tried to sync but was unsuccessful. In debugging the issue, I have completely uninstalled GE and hard reset my device and the sync problem continues. I'm currently located in Kazakhstan and have tried to sync with and without VPN (New York server) enabled, both fail.
Prior to vacation, I was unable to sync data properly and submitted a forum thread [1] regarding that issue. One of the comments was that Garmin confirmed it to be a Garmin issue, not client. Does anyone have a working configuration with a Forerunner and GC via GE? I sync once per day and can manually upload activities, but I'm not sure if I can do the same with the wellness data. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
On garmin connect. Go to profile. Then select switch to classic. Then on upper right hand of he connect screen, an upload button appears. Click that and select your device. Choose upload manually.
After a lot of heartache and back-and-forth with Garmin Product Support, everything seems to be working fine. Last night I completely uninstalled Garmin Express, removed every file lingering on my system (check c:\Program Files (x86)\ and <User Folder>\AppData\Local\), and cleaned out any registry items relating to Garmin. I also did a Master Reset on my device. Then I reinstalled Garmin Express and updated it to the current version (now v4.0.7.0). All items appear to be syncing properly now.
I'm not sure what did it since I've done a complete uninstall/reinstall before, as well as a Master Reset on the device. I have a feeling the 4.0.7.0 software and/or the registry clean may have something to do with my success. Either way, Activities, Steps, and Sleep data are all syncing correctly, as of today. :)
fwiw, i uninstalled 4.0.4.0 and installed 3.2.29.0 and it synced ok, i then upgraded to 4.0.8.0 and it synced fine so perhaps the problem was in ver 4.0.4.0 ? - for some reason i couldn't upgrade from 4.0.4.0. but, i'd need another day or two of data to be sure it is sorted.
Same issue with Forerunner 920XT. Express Version 4.0.8.0.
No sync, managing apps/updates works without any problems. Icon on top shows "not connected".
My Edge 800 works without any problems.
Just Bought it from Garmin India website...and My Forerunner 15 is not getting detected by Garmin Express....after trying for 3 days today it got connected once....my data synced to Garmin connect...but after that again it is not getting detected. I am getting frustrated with No reply from the Garmin support emails, from the reviews which shows this is a common problem, and from the inability of a reputed company like Garmin to fix this simple issue for so long....I mean who made this software? Some School kids or what? And what kind of customer support is this....they never reply to my mail....only calls back so that no record of the communication is available. Just want to know if I have put my money down the drain or there is a solution? If not...then will Garmin payback the amount I paid for this useless device?
