I've plugged my Edge 500 in to upload a ride this morning, and it's uploaded to Connect. Then I opened Express to check if there were any firmware updates, and it's prompting me to install the latest version of Express. It says v3.2.7.0 at the top of the window, not sure if that's what I'm upgrading from or to. Trouble is, it says as part of the install it's going to uninstall ANT Agent, which I still use as I have a Forerunner 405 and when I installed express it wasn't compatible with the Forerunner. Has that now changed or am I going to have to reinstall ANT Agent after the Express installer has removed it for me? Or is there any way of avoided it being removed?
This is very strange. I am not sure why this is happening and I have tested this on my end and I am unable to reproduce this issue. I would recommend that you delete the device from Express. Once the device is deleted navigate to the following folder location:
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Core Update Service\GDXML. "Need to un hide system files/folders" to view some of the folder locations.
Delete the unitID number file that matches your 405CX. Restart the computer and try adding the device back to Express.
