Express 3.2.4.0 won't install

Same here. Tried from within the application. Also tried downloading the file from Garmin and running as an administrator. No dice.

You can download the latest version of the Windows Installer from Microsoft...

This fix just worked for me.

Here was my scenario

Garmin Express 3.1.9 in a WinXP SP3 Virtual Machine (VM).
GE 3.2.4 would not install in that VM (Got the "Failed! Retry?" message).

What I did

Fired up the VM and logged in as Administrator.
Uninstalled GE 3.1.9 (only the program leaving config files intact).
Installed the Microsoft hotfix (required a reboot).
Installed GE 3.2.4.

If you are receiving the "Failed. Try again?" message in Windows XP or Windows Vista, it is usually caused by an out of date Windows Installer. You can download the latest version of the Windows Installer from Microsoft here:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8483

Once the service has been updated Garmin Express should now install properly without an installation error.

Although I dont like this new version, nothing new and dificult to install and good options erased, manually upload tracks.
Simple is better ;)

So what have you done to try to download Express, and at what point does it fail? How does it fail? Any error message?

Did you read the post Stuart linked to? Have you updated your Windows Installer as indicated from here?

I cannot install on windows xp with sp3. I am trying to install Express 3.2.4.0 from garmin site.
I get 'Failed. Try again?' during the initialisation phase.

I have updated the windows installer as previously suggested. I have also removed and reinstalled .net4 framework.
Also ran Microsoft repair tool on .net framework.
Are there any local log files where i can get an error code or any other suggestions?
