Former Member
Former Member
Hi,

My set up.
Windows 7
IE 11
Garmin 310XT

Garmin Express reports that the sync is complete, however, the data is NOT uploaded in Garmin Connect.

I have re-synced several times, even after trying to
  • Cleared cache in IE,
  • Refreshed IE
  • Rebooted laptop
  • Rebooted Garmin device
  • Looked for all relevant Garmin related updates.

Nothing worked, the communication of the similar /same issue posted here, does not work for me.

What distance was your work out?

I am having problems with anything over 10k on my Garmin 610 using Windows 7, Chrome 34.

Can you please verify what version of firmware the 310 is currently on in Express? Open Express and at the top click on "Device". In the Info section is should display the Software Version your device is on. If the device is reading firmware 0.0 see the following thread:
    https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?84423-Garmin-310xt-issues
If the device firmware is not 0.0 try creating a test workout one more time for say 5-10 seconds. Once you completed this make sure you save the test workout and try syncing again to see if this worked.

    Hi Mike,

Not to be a thread hijacker, but can you help me out too?

Forerunner 610, firmwave 2.90, short distance runs are uploading but a 10k run I did on Sunday doesn't want to move across.

    Thanks!

    Hi Mark,

Both side of 10k. Shortest I believe about 7,5km and longest about 16km.

    Hi Mike,

The firmware version according to GE is 0.0. The firmware according to the device, as per instructions as per thread you provided is 4.5. The thread list alternatively to do a master reset. I really would like to avoid losing the data of my last few runs as they were in different countries, so I am desperate to keep those maps.

    >I checked GE version, 3.1.7.0 and upgraded to 3.1.8.0.
    >I changed unplugged and plugged in my Ant stick .
    >I confirmed that pairing was on my device.

Is there anything else I can try that will not lead to me losing my recent data?

Check the watch itself to see what firmware version is installed.

    • Press Mode
    • Select System
    • Select About Forerunner

If the watch says 0.0, please contact us by phone at 800.800.1020 M-Th 8am-6pm and Fri 8am-5pm CST. The issue can be corrected but you'll need to work with the Software Support Team. They can do a remote session with you and get the Forerunner updated to 4.50. If the watch is at 4.50 then you can go back and use the ANT Agent to upload your existing runs to Garmin Connect.

Delete your device and uninstall Garmin Express. Install ANT Agent software version 2.3.4, pair your device and upload the runs. After you get the information to Connect, perform the Master Reset on the 310XT then you can uninstall the ANT Agent and go back to Garmin Express and it should upload fine. The 0.0 issue is actually resolved with the 4.50 firmware version but a Master Reset must be done before the fix is in place.

How do I master reset my Forerunner 310XT?

Hi I have a Garmin 910xt some trainings are not being received or store into garmin connect.

I updated both watch and garmin express software and still half of the trainings of the last 15 days are not getting synced.

    Can you help? Thanks

Am I understanding correctly that you are able to upload some of the workouts to connect? If so, the other files must be corrupt. We may need to do a master reset on the device if this is the case:

I am having the same issue- that Garmin express tells me it has synced, yet the activities are not visible in Garmin Connect. I did the suggested thing in this thread, I made a quick test activity and then synced again. The test activity now shows up! I last uploaded activities in 2013, so now I have a gap of a year. And although this information is still on my Garmin, it appears I cannot transfer it to Garmin Connect. I saw someone suggest the files may be corrupt - why would they be? Any other way to get them off my Garmin and onto my laptop? Even if I then must manually upload them into Garmin Connect?

Since you were able to get a few days of recent workouts uploaded we know that the current setup is working. As far as the older workouts you might try the Mode-->History-->Transfer All option on the watch. This will force the 310XT to send all the activities to Express. The Sync process may take quite a while to complete with that many workouts but it will upload what it can from the device. Once this is done I recommend that you delete all the old activities from the watch. I recommend you don't keep more than a months worth of activities on the watch at one time.
