Garmin Express-Win 10-Forerunner syncing-Edge Devices Do Not

Running Garmin Express 7.1.4.0 on Windows 10. I've never had an issue with Express on this computer. Recently Garmin Express started returning the message "Sorry, we're having a problem communicating with our servers." when connecting either an Edge 1030 or Edge 830. Garmin Express returns no errors syncing my Forerunner 945. It may have started with or soon after the 7.1.4.0 update.

I've searched the Garmin forums and Net for similar errors and followed Garmin's FAQ for this issue. Fixes attempted include:

-Verify time/date are correct in Win 10;
-Stop Net firewall;
-No proxy settings;
-No VPN active;
-Reboot computer;
-Restart router;
-Clear Garmin localappdata folder;
-Chkdsk Edge drives;
-Remove Garmin devices from Garmin Express and add them back;
-Uninstall Garmin Express and clean registry, reinstall Garmin Express and add devices back;
-Update Windows 10 to latest updates

Nothing has changed the Garmin Express error returned. It works for the Forerunner 945, but not the Edge 1030 or Edge 830.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  •  Robert, I also have had the Eat My Ride app installed on my Edge devices. I could only uninstall using the Garmin Connect mobile app. After uninstalling, Garmin Express now shows the waiting sync updates, but then fails to finalize the sync. This makes me wonder if one of the other CIQ apps I have installed are causing an issue.

    How did you uninstall the Eat My Ride app?

    Thanks for the update!

  • Hi,

    I used the IQ mobile app to uninstall the app.

    The sync was completed successfully however the IQ section on the GE is still broken.

    Please advise if you managed to solve it.

    Robert

  •  Robert, I also had the EMR app installed on my Edge devices. The only way I could delete the app was to use Garmin Connect Mobile as the Garmin Express and Garmin Connect Web cannot edit the Edge devices without throwing a server error. How did you delete the app?

    Once the EMR app was uninstalled Garmin Express now advances to the point it shows the pending updates, but it then fails to sync completely and returns the server error message.

    Perhaps there is an issue with my other installed CIQ apps?

    Thanks very much for the update info! Getting closer on mine. Great to hear your's is working!

  • I used the connect IQ app store to uninstall it : play.google.com/.../details
