Problem installing V6.8.1

I came here to inform people that I just received an update Garmin express to the newest version 6.8.1.0 install with no problem but then he gave me a box after the restart that gave me multiple choices either to close send a report or reopen. A course I picked send a report then reopen it continue to give me the same box over and over so my suggestion is not to do the update to 6.8.1.0 version so I had to reinstall my 6.7.1.0 version so I could have functionality Garmin express.

I think I found the issue. The installation started working after installing the latest Java runtime. Seems very odd why that would make it work, unless the installer requires Java. The error message provided doesn't give an clues as to what was wrong and certainly error reporting needs a lot of improvement.

Java may have made some other changes that corrected the issue on your PC since Express doesn't need Java as far as I'm aware.

Any fix/resolution on this error? My computer is also Windows 10 Pro 64 and I'm getting the same error. I already had the latest Java, so unfortunately, it's not a clear case of updating Java.

Then there's possibly something else wrong with your PC, it does install fine for most folks. I suggest you call Product Support for detailed help.
