Garmin Express and Windows 10

Recently, I have upgraded my laptop to Windows 10.
After this changes, i have reinstalled the Garmin Apps (BaseCamp and Garmin Express)
My Garmin Navy is a BMW Navygator V.

When I start Garmin Express, all is working fine (i can see my navy and i'm able to update this -including a Map reinstallation-) but the option for reinstall the map on the computer doesn't appears; the only possible choice is the reinstallation of the maps on the Navy.
Obviously, cause i have a fresh installation of BaseCamp and no "local maps installed", i need to connect the navy to work properly with BaseCamp.

Could someone help me in this point???
What is the right way to install maps for BaseCamp if Garmin Express is not working fine???

GarminService.exe in Windows 10 was chewing up a TON of bandwidth for no reason whatsoever. My ISP started sending me warnings about going overlimit -- I checked every device, no unusual torrent uploads, but running resource monitor on my main PC I saw that GarminService.exe was downloading *something* at 2MB/sec, constantly.

I am sorry Garmin Express was using up bandwidth. If you have Garmin Express set to run in the background and do downloads, when a new update comes out it will start downloading it. During the download process, it also checks the data to make sure it is not corrupt. If this check fails, it will try downloading that same piece again. This can cause issues when trying to download using metered internet connections. Garmin Express lists the system requirements, "High speed Internet access (Not for use with dial-up, mobile or satellite connections).

If you need to stop the program from downloading files in the background, please try the following:
    • Launch Garmin Express.
    • Click on "Settings" (the gear icon at the top-right corner of Garmin Express).
    • Click on "Schedule" on the left.
    • Select the button for "Never" and click on "OK".

Now, it should not download unless you open the program. Let us know if you still have trouble.

I have followed this procedure and the maps remains not-installed (not listed)

Do you have any idea about a new release of garmin express?

Or alternatively, until a new version is released, download the previous version 4.1.19.0 that still has the computer option. It can be found at http://garmin-express.en.uptodown.com/windows/old

[Note] Despite the name I don't believe the site is associated with Garmin in any way. It is simply a repository of current and previous versions.
