Garmin Express says my NUVI 2340 is up to date.

When I updated maps in December I only did UK. I now want to update Portugal but can't find how to do it.

  • You are registered but have no display name. The 2016.30 unlock was generated for the 2340LT on the 27th. This means that the map update data was downloaded to the computer and Garmin Express was able to activate or unlock the maps but it appears there was an issue sending the data to the device or SD card. I suggest you make sure Express is up to date, then remove the nuvi from Express and remove the SD card from the device. Add the device to Express and use the option to change map region in the article below. You should be prompted to insert and SD card or select a smaller map region. Select the SD card then insert it in the device and let Express continue. If you continue to have troubles send us the Express Logs.

  • Problem is that your display name is blank, see the top left of your posts where it should show your display name. To correct that see this FAQ https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?323642-Change-Display-Name and pm the forum admin tri.jands

    I've deleted your serial number as it's not generally a good thing to display.

    Still an error

    Thanks for help but this has not worked - same message.

    I have no private message with code - so cannot send Garmin Express Logs

    Tried to attach log file - it says it's too large

    When using the log code provided by Curt and the instructions provided in his original post, the logs are sent to Garmin from your computer. They do not need to be attached to your post. For your convenience, here is the FAQ on sending logs to us:
