BaseCamp 4.5.0 Is Now Available

BaseCamp is 4.5.0 now available and can be downloaded here:

Installation of this version will overwrite your previous BaseCamp installation.

Added user preference to configure mouse hover tool tips
Added selection of map product and search to the Create Route dialog

I just double clicked on an existing waypoint in MyCollection, which positioned the map to that waypoint and opened up the property sheet. I tried to edit the coordinates displayed in the Position field of the Properties tab

Were you doing this from the waypoint dialog? In what part of the UI were you making this adjustment?

The coordinates edit box of the properties tab of the waypoint dialog.

When you click within the edit box the caret is positioned correctly within the text string, but the app executes an immediate and unnecessary recalc and repeats this for every caret move, each time reselecting the text from the caret postion to end of text. All these fireworks make editing the text string almost impossible.

The edit box should allow continous editing of the text string without recalc and without reselection of text, until the edit box loses focus. IMO, anyway.

A very annoying bug : img files located into an Imdisk Virtual Garmin disk are not dispayed in 4.5 anymore. :mad:

I don't find the first point much of an issue. BC does a fast search of the immediate area, if that then doesn't give you enough choice or coverage just hit the More button or the ... icon to get up to 200 . I wouldn't necessarily want 200 in the first hit, but the option to get more is there if you need it.

I think your second point would be useful though.

Well, to me it's an issue because it's sloppy coding. If you try it you will see the map will be populated with a large number of numbered balloons but the list may only reference a few. Indeed, pressing more will repaint the list but I shouldn't have to press more. The other issue is that it should be an easy fix and had been reported ages ago. Why not just fix it?

is this available only to the fenix 3?, is this not working yet with the Epix?

Is the waypoint you are editing part of a route? The "fireworks" I mentioned only happen when the route for that waypoint gets recalculated in the (I suppose) onchange event of the text edit.
