Thank you all in advance for any feedback you may have.
• In the past, I've always had the option "do not automatically update" set in BaseCamp. I use BC in my job and can't afford the problems that often come with automatic updating. I prefer late updating after others have found the inevitable bugs and they've been ironed out. Yesterday I was prompted to update to 4.2.2. I clicked "remind me later" and after that, BC crashed. When I restarted it, it ran normally. I checked my options and see that the "don't automatically update" option seems to be gone in 4.3.5 which I'm currently using. When did this get deleted and why? Could we have that option back? Or did I miss it somewhere?

A few versions ago I believe. What you could do is block, if your OS firewall allows that, the basecamp.exe process from accessing the internet. It can then "check" all it likes.

This is not currently supported. BaseCamp is intended to be a desktop application.

Got it, but even my desktop-computer has a touch display, so please think about supporting it.

Making BaseCamp more touch-friendly is definitely something we'd like to do in the future.
• I have a problem with found geocaches between 4.4.2 and my gpsmap 62s.

I was trying to copy my file of found geocaches which show up as found on 4.4.2 onto my gmsmap. Although the caches copy across and show as found in the text on the GPS they do not come up as found either with the Icon on basecamp or at all on the GPS.

I then deleted thm again off the GPS and used my PC using 4.3.4 and they copied across fine and showed up as found on both basecamp (in the attached device section) and on the GPS unit itself.

Going back to 4.4.2 on my laptop and connecting the same GPS they then showed up as not found again in the attached device section.

I downgraded my laptop to have 4.3.4 and everything works fine again now.

I will stay with 4.3.4 until this bug is fixed..

In BaseCamp 4.4.2 BirdsEye downloads with free-form area selected fail to download higher resolution images - for example selecting a diagonal area with the freeform tool and highest resolution gives me a file with about 300 images, while using the rectangle tool over the same area gives me over 13000 images! The area in the rectangle probably 4 times the freeform area, but not 40 times!

I have no experience with earlier versions of BaseCamp to compare...

So I can test and recreate your issue, can you share with me and send to [email protected] the geocaches you are having issues with? Then I can open a case for this.
