I had that same issue but disabling display scaling seems to have fixed it.
Task manager - Right click on Basecamp Icon - click on Compatibility tab - check box = Disable display scaling on high DPI settings

That works for me too! Thx

I'd love to upload some screen shots but I can't figure out how to delete previously upload files from the 'management attachments' dialog?? It says previously upload files will be deleted in 60 minutes, but I have files there from months ago with no way to remove them.....

Thank you. We have opened a case. I know that a number of users continue to have some display issues with Windows 8. We're working on this I can assure you! Thanks for all the patience and feedback from everyone.

I have installed the new version. In the help-section there is no item to search for program-updates.

The update system has changed. It checks for an update automatically now and if there is one available it will ask you if you would like to download the update and install.

  • It would seem that the unit update message logic is a little confused. Notice the Current Version v. the Available version.

HELP! After update, BaseCamp refuses to start. URGENT!

    Dear all,

My sincere apologies, but this is a BIG ISSUE for me: as I opened BaseCamp today, it stopped starting up & informed it was downloading an update. After that, I had to start the installation procedure. Which I approved, not realising that there could be an issue.

NOW, the BaseCamp application will NOT start anymore, no matter what I try: I've been at it all night & it's just DEAD. We go on holiday véry soon and now need to transfer the routes we made to our 2 garmin devices but I can't get any life into the application. Which renders the whole effort completely useless.

How can I solve this? AND FAST? I am running a Toshiba C660 laptop with Windows 7. Unfortunately, I don't know the current BaseCamp version number, as I can't start the app - but as it installed today, I'm sure you would know.

    Thanks.
  • Is that the Toshiba satellite pro version? I know there are issues with that as I have one. Which version of Basecamp did you have running?

In the meantime try 2 things. Uninstall then reinstall from the website and see if that works. If not on the website choose the link to the last XP compatible version and see if that works for you.
