DEZL owner with questions

Hello, I just received my Dezl 770 and notice the maps are 2018.2. Of course it would like me to update to the latest map version 2019.2 (or .1 I forget exactly.) My basecamp map is 2018.2. Is this going to be a major problem with communication between the two mapsets? Will the work I generate in BC be visible in the device that will contain 2019.2?

It's a trucker's GPS, but several use this device for long distance motorcycling as well.

Thanks.

Hello, Just an update on my updating......software install went great. Map upgrade, not so well. Tried three times. three times an error was reported and the process stopped. Can't do more tonight, so, maybe tomorrow because "Tomorrow is another day!"

Still love my Gramins though! :-)

Update to everything went well this morning! Thank you for all your patience! Much appreciated!
  • Don't see a forum for the Dezl, or other road GPS units. Question:
I have a Dezl 770, using an SD Card in the unit. Using BaseCamp 4.6.2. When I connect the unit to BaseCamp, I see a folder - "Internal Storage" on the unit (grayed out) assume read only. I see in the folder all my active logs, back to 6/21 of this year. Is there a place on the unit, or in BaseCamp where previous logs might be stored? I began using this in January, 2018. Maybe I somehow deleted them, unknowingly, while looking around.

Later this AM - I found it. In Windows Explorer, with the Dezl connected. Go to: \d?zl 770\Internal Storage\GPX\Archive - you can delete the *.GPX files, or copy/move them to your PC for backup purposes. However, I was not able to find the older files. Live and Learn!
