I Don't Receive Email Notification of a Reply

Even though I subscribe to a thread and request instant email notification if there is a reply/change, I never receive any such notification.

It may be because I have not given my email address, and I don't see how to do this in My Profile.

Help/guidance appreciated.......
  • Okay. So here's the big test! Fingers crossed....

No joy here........no email notification. I even checked the spam/junk folder on my email website and there were no Garmin notifications.

So, Ken, let's just give up at this point. I'll post a new thread soon, and maybe with my global settings I will receive email notification of a reply. There just must be something about trying to subscribe retroactively.

    Thanks for your support...........
  • You're welcome. Wish it would have turned out better but we'll hope it works out on a go-forward basis.

Ken, unfortunately it did not even work going forward. Last night I did a new post entitled "Changing Map Symbols". I got one reply thus far, but no email notification. I had to log onto the forum and check my post to see if I had a reply. And ideas?
  • I'm sorry to hear that. Is the new thread listed under your Subscribed Threads on the Forum Tools?

    Yes, I'm sad to say.
  • Okay, that means the thread subscriber part of the forum is working properly.

You get notifications for private messages. So the part of the forum that sends PM notifications is working.

The only part of the whole thing that's not operating properly is the thread notifier.

One thing left to try that I can think of. Go to your profile, delete your email address and re-enter it. It's possible there's something the thread notifier doesn't like about it.

I know it probably makes no sense but it's the only thing I can think of left to try.

OK, my email address was correct, but I deleted it and then re-entered it. I didn't find it under Profile, but rather under Settings.
  • Let's see if that made any difference.
