No such thing as a "Valid JNX file"

I just got my brand new eTrex 20x yesterday, and a subscription to Birdseye Topo U.S & Canada. At first I created six Birdseye files and transferred them to the sdcard in my device with Basecamp. I get "Invalid JNX File" error. After a couple of hours of frustration, I deleted all Birdseye files from both the device, and Basecamp, and I am concentrating on just one Birdseye file. My 20x shows up in the Birdseye wizard, and my subscription is valid for 364 more days, but I have yet to create a valid file. I have tried both the internal storage and the external storage options. My tracks, routes, etc work from the sdcard, so I do not think it is a format issue, I have a 16 gb card. I checked the box to automatically transfer the file, and did not get the error, but the file was not transferred. I am selecting area's about 4-6 miles square. I have tried right clicking send to..., and dragging them to the top pane as well as the auto transfer method with no luck. I always safely remove the device in Windoze (I have a fresh install of Win 10).
Are the Birdseye files supposed to show up as maps on the device? I have yet to see it work so I don't know. I'm not sure if I have a faulty device, a problem with Basecamp (newest version), the alignment of the planets, or a problem with Win 10. I get no software errors on the computer and the area I select fills with the imagery, but fails when put on the handheld.
I have tried all of the suggestions I could find in the forums, and watched all of the video tutorials as well. I think I am doing it right, but can't make a valid JNX file. I am keeping my feelings about this matter to myself, and I hope someone can help me sort this out. Hint -->

    Problem solved (For Now)

Sounds like you too need to contact Customer Support. However see if this FAQ helps

I called customer support this morning at 8:45, got a message stating that Garmin support was experiencing high call volume and suggested I call back later. No way, so I hung in there for about 30 min with the phone on speaker, checked my e-mail, etc. The support person answered, he was a pretty nice guy, and we got down to business. After the necessary prerequisites I was told that it was a server error and the system would be fixed in a couple of hours. I had my doubts, but thanked the man and took off for about 4 hours, after which I made a bunch of invalid files and deleted them. Don't make sense to me that the server will let you download the imagery and put it on your device which is invalid. A couple hours later the Birdseye server was unavailable, this lasted for hours, but it seemed that they where working on it. Sure enough, a little after 10 pm I tried again, and this time I finally made my first valid Birdseye file, looks great on my device too. I guess it really was just the server after all. After reading many forum posts about invalid JNX files I get the impression that this has been going on for years, so you may or may not be able to download the area you want when you feel like it. But at least I am aware of it and I won't pull my hair out next time. My strategy going forward will be to create Birdseye maps in small batches and test them right away. Plan ahead and get the area you are thinking of well in advance. I think the Birdseye Topo U.S & Canada will be a great asset for me in the long run.
