Can I load Cycle maps onto the computer hard drive?

Hello, I am trying to install my euro cycle maps onto the laptop to use with basecamp, is this possible?

    The latest.

I appeared to have created a virtual memory drive, but for some reason I could not get the OS GB maps to work in this.

However, I did manage to get them to work from a memory stick.

After a couple more attempts copying the files it seems to have worked - no GPS attached, no memory stick attached, so it must be working off the virtual memory. So after perhaps half a dozen attempts and a few PC reboots, I have got there. Obviously I have no idea why it took so long, and so many attempts, but this is now working OK. Hopefully it will work considerably more smoothly when I get around to buying additional maps. Thanks again.

Unless the virtual disk is mounted automatically (not likely), you aren't using the virtual drive.

Basecamp may have installed the maps to somewhere on your C: drive.

Note that you have to copy the files and mount the vitual drive before running Basecamp.

I'm pleased to report this now appears to be working OK. Not sure what I was doing wrong before, but am happy with the results now.

A bit of a scare yesterday when I disconnected the GPS after finishing some file transfers (without closing BC first), and the correct map disappeared, but this was easily fixed by closing BC and restarting, when the correct maps reloaded. :)
