Are there time zone changes calculated into the "routing program" in BaseCamp? When you cross a time zone does it automatically change? Is there a way to include them in routes? I couldn't find anything searching the forum???
Funny when you print an itinerary in France created in North America in Base Camp it adjusts the times from what is recorded. A departure of 8am becomes 3am.
The answer is in the message right before yours...
I added specific calendar days and departure times when I created the route in trip planner ... but when I select "print itinerary" in trip planner, it changes the departure times by 5 hours earlier to the time zone my mac is set to.
I can see that Trip Planner seems to take time zones into account, but I can't see where standard routes are time zone aware. Am I missing something?
If you double click the route to open the 'Get Info' window, you'll see times associated with the via points. Those times are timezone aware. I'm attaching a example where a 12 minute trip across the boarder shows as arriving a hour and 13 minutes later because of the timezone change. click on the Directions or info tab and you can see the trip across the boarder and back is only taking a total of 24 minutes.
In your route properties window, click on the clock icon to the right of any waypoint other than the first. The resulting popup will show the arrival time.

I sent you a PM. I do not get the same results as the previous poster regarding BaseBamp's arrival times in different time zones. A simple route from Pensacola to Miami, FL will show what I'm talking about. Using BaseCamp 4.4.6
