Download it at http://www.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=6591.

This is a minor release

It adds support for fours Asian languages.
It should improve auto-alignment of tracks to videos.
Some export issues should be resolved.

We are working on more export fixes, and fixes for the Windows 8 issues for 2.2.3.

    Alternative to PC Virb Edit...

    We had a Mac in the house, so Virb Edit for the Mac was a reasonable alternative to the Windows version of the Virb Edit. (My teenage daughter and primary Mac user isn't so thrilled about my new video editing interest..)

    This is way too cool. There's so much more to biking than biking!!!

    Is there a way to save and export a video that shows the map overlay? I am a noob with the camera and software and so far I can see the overlay in Virb Edit, but when I create an MP4 export all I get is the video file and GPS info.

    Also, can you split a clip and use a different data dashboard from clip to clip? My experimentation showed that all clips get saved with the last dashboard you select.

    Thanks

    Same video played with VIRB-Edit (different overlay) and captured (map). Here I have sound!

    Taking out the sound was the fix for the export issues. We failed creating the video because the audio failed. So now if the audio is causing trouble we are taking it out. Not the most ideal solution, but we figured the video is a lot more important than the sound. You can still add music.

    Cool stuff. :)

    I am glad the Mac version works for you. Their video exporting framework is a bit more robust. We'll get there soon on the Windows side.

    We do not have a license to export the map data, unfortunately. We are investigating if we can use a different map provider (OSM - Open Street Mapping) that will allow us to do this.

    Currently, you can only use a single dashboard.

    @BCOWITZ

    Like FALAGAR says, you can't export a map (in 2.2.2), BUT....
    Until a version that can export a map you can do what I did.
    You can play your video WITH a map.
    If you have capture software, you can capture what is played.
    The setback is some loss of quality and you are limited to the size of your screen.
    Uploading to youtube will also create some loss, like you can see in the video's above.
    I don't have a VIRB yet, planning to buy one in March.
    The above video's are recorded with a RoadHawk Ride in 1280x720 30fps (the only mode of the RoadHawk).

    A workaround for exporting different overlays can be first exporting the different clips with their overlay.
    Than import them in VIRB-Edit and exporting them without overlay as one movie.

    @FALAGAR
    Thanks, the most important part works.
    I hope sound will return later when more important issues are solved.

    please confirm when

    Please can you confirm when the sound export issues andand temp reading will be released. I have video from my bike trip across Spain but do not want try and edit into a movie until these issues are resolved in case of corrupting the original and the time it will take to create? Also, does the imported tracklog self position now and is the affected by trimming the clips.
    Thanks

    One very minor issue: When exporting a file the picture shown is square, it would be nice if it was changed to the format of the video (16:9).

    Todays Ride

    Took the sound of the video and added it as music.
