Setting sleep mode

sorry for google translate but i try ..

but I can not understand not being able to activate sleep mode directly from the device (HO THE NEW VIVOSPORTI) and then turn it off on awakening

be set to the best hours of sleep on garmin connect .. not falling asleep and awakening me always at the usual hours ... apparently putting a range of NORMAL hours in which a NORMAL person would have to sleep from 23 to 7 in the morning did not come any more idea though i made it against that if i go to bed later example one at night the day i see I see and I'm glad I scored the crown start or the first and the first hour when I went to bed maybe at 4 pm to go to the bathroom .. but this goes to change the range I set between 23 and 7 .. I therefore ask you to set this function and if I leave the field that put me in the automatic the day after I went to bed at 23:30 he all did not start recording I hope I've explained for less than understanding hehe

  • The older Garmin devices such as the Vivofit 1 and Vivoactive 1 allowed you to do what you ask. At the time, it was pretty much the only way to register sleep. About 2 to 3 years ago, Garmin came up with the ability to auto-detect sleep. The difference is that it is calculated by Connect on the web based on movement data. For most people most of the time, this works quite well but for some with unusual schedules or sleep habits have problems.

Actually, I own a Vivofit 1 and also a Vivoactive 1. I used to start and stop sleep mode manually but eventually I realized that it was no better than the automatic calculation. Even though auto-detection works well for me most of the time, I edit the results every morning just to have better statistics.

I suggest you give auto-calculation a chance and review the graphs it generates.

    very thx for response
so I deserve to leave a default setting of eight hours 23 to 7 and if the day after I restore that range if I should not sleep in the default hours

    other question sorry
but is not it possible to see the heart rate in the daily summary if you are only biking with the garmin 1000 without wearing the vivosport?
  • I can't answer the question about the edge 1000 with 100% confidence however it isn't a tracker so I think you need to continue to wear the Vivosport for HR. I wear my Vivoactive to continue to count steps throughout the day although I use a FR910XT for cycling.

As for the default sleep time, mine is set to 22:00 to 6:00. However, I often fall asleep as much as an hour or even more before and the auto-sleep calculation finds it relatively reliably.
