I am experiencing the same issue, I bought it in Dec 2019, work well but there is faded digital display, any suggestions as I am based in the UK
Hello! If you are experiencing this issue,…
I had same problem only a few months after having watch! Super frustrating. Can’t trouble shoot or even access serial number to report problem without display! Thanks for sharing your experience…
Same with mine. Been working fine for about 2 1/2 years then suddenly stopped working today. Tried the connect to PC reset but didn’t work. Offered replacement for £76.80 fee. Seems to be a pretty standard…
The screen in my Vivomove HR started to slowly dim more and more until died completely after two and half years. I contacted Garmin support and they gave me a link to download a small program for PC so…
I am having the exact same issue! My 1st one did this the end of 2020 at less than a year old - it was still covered by warranty so was replaced. And now the replaced one is doing the exact same thing! I am in Australia & the only way to contact Garmin seems to be via phone! Not impressed such an expensive watch does not last!
This appears to be the norm!
I had the same issue in South Africa. Sent it in for repairs, only to bet told that it cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced. When I asked for clarity, I was advised that it would be a brand new identical unit which I have to pay for and this will only carry a 90 day warranty! Surely a new "replacement" unit should have the full warranty. Upon researching other brands, I found that you can get smart HR watches (with more features) with a 24 month warranty!
Super unhappy with GARMIN and will never purchase one again!
I agree. While my watch is 3 1/2 years olds, I didn’t purchase it to perform as a pricey disposable. It has the same issue as others have described and Garmin offers a small token discount to apply toward a new watch to appease disappointed customers. While the agent was kind, the problem could not be resolved. I bought a Garmin after a disappointing performance by another popular top brand and because Garmin’s reviews were positive for repairs and customer service. While I have loved my Garmin, I am in search of a quality/ durable and dependable smart watch that is not essentially a pricey disposable after a couple of years of performance. It would be nice if some company remembered the good old watch brand slogan, “takes a licking and keeps on ticking” to make things that truly endure. Albeit small, think of of all the landfill waste created because so many things are no longer made to last.
Exactly the same issue, about 3 yo HR, it fased to black in a week. Reading the many people witn the same issue, it smacks of in-built obsolescence. Very bad look, please do better!
