Garmin Vivomove 3S suddenly drain very fast

As title says, my Vivomove 3S (firmware 3.60) battery drain fast - less than a day! Even with BT off  and HR off the battery drain very fast.

I reset the watch already - the same drain.

Any solutions?

  • Hello! Have you cleaned the charging contacts and tried charging the device through the computer? How long have you had the device?

  • I had two chargers (one from a Vivosport) with the same results. I monitor the charging process with a power meter and the charging seems to be fine. The problem is that the watch is discharged very fast and I suspect is a firmware problem - something in the software is eating a lot of energy. I wait the 3.90 update (my watch is at 3.60).

    In the past I had another problem: the watch doesn't connected to the phone and a firmware resolved the issue. Maybe the next firmware will resolve also my problem.

    Unfortunately the Vivomove 3S was a watch with many problems and it seems to me that the buyers are neglected by  Garmin. Why I can't update the firmware to the 3.90? I'm not in the USA by the way. This is serious problem to me.

  • The watch is relatively new and I charged the battery very carefully: I avoided full discharges and also full charges - I charged the battery in the 25-75% range almost all the time. Like I said before, I monitor every charge with a power meter and the battery accept the same charging current at the same time like before - this means that the capacity is preserved.

  • Thank you for that information. It certainly should not be draining. When you reset, was it a restore or did you reset data and settings? Can you delete data and settings then plug the device into Garmin Express and sync. Could you then tell me if you have any battery issues over the next 24 hours. 

  • It was a full reset from the watch.

    I already did that (I fully reset the watch and then I synced it from Garmin Connect).

    I charged the watch in this morning. After 14 hours the watch is almost discharged :(

    I told you, I wait for firmware update. Unfortunately Garmin offers firmware 3.90 only in USA. Why? Problems with watches are only in USA? People from Europe are also Garmin clients.

    I had too many problems with this Garmin Vivomove 3S.
