Garmin Jr. app: login not working.

My son has just recieved the Garmin Vivofit jr 3 for Christmas.

The app is not working after login, loading stops after a few minutes (loading screen of fish jumping in bowl).

I tried uninstalling the app. I tried it on 3 different devices (!) Samsung S10, Lenovo tablet, Google pixel 6A.

Always the same error: After login, (I tried using my existing account and creating a new account), the app is stuck on loading for a few minutes, then an error-message appears:

- blue circle with a white exclamation mark

- text (in Dutch): 'something went wrong' & 'there has been an error. Try again.'

- two buttons at the bottom: 'try again' and 'close'.

Internet connection on devices is ok. 

What is going wrong? I'd really like to install the app for my son. He was so happy with the gift and so disappointed now...

Can someone please help us?

  • So I had this issue this morning when trying to set up my son's VivoFit as well. Tracked it down to the website restrictions I'd set on his iPad - once I'd allowed sso.garmin.com and garmin.com, it was fine - don't know if that might work for you? All the best, and seasons greetings. Mike
