Vivoactive - can't pause/play/skip music during a workout/activity?

It appears that once you start an activity you can no longer toggle back to any of the other screens, including the music app, to skip songs? So what is the point of having a music app if I still have to pull my phone out mid run in order to skip or pause a song?

Also only controls default music player, no pandora or spotify on iOS at least. Any other luck with android?

Only controls default music player on Android as well.

Actually, I can live with that, but not being able to control the music during a workout or activity is absurd. I just can't believe they wouldn't include that functionality. Doesn't make any sense.

I really hope they address this in an update.

    vivoactive and music controls

I really hope this functionality becomes available! -Brian
  • I CANNOT believe the vivoactive doesn't let you control music during a workout. Really disappointed in the developers on this one.
Also the music control in general is really lame. No 3rd party control, and no song displayed on the screen?

EDIT: it does allow for this, while in the activity press and hold on the screen.
  • I believe a long press on the screen in the activity brings up the normal watch screen and you can go from there.
  • On myne the top button where you start and stop your activity, you just hold it in, then it goes to the screen where all your icons is on. Then you just go to your music app. Then you can skip songs but your activity doesnt stop!
