VO2Max stopped recording?

V02Max stopped recording on 25 Feb 2021, despite having an outdoor activity almost every day. My wife's vivoactive 3 has no such issues.

Hello! Is the watch still recording your heart rate during these activities? Which activity profiles are you using?

  • Hello Isabella, yes the heart rate is recorded in the same way as before, along with all the other data including . I am using walk activity. All previous walks since I have the watch do have the VO2 max. The last activity when the VO2 was recorded was on 25 Feb when I did my first run activity. Since then I use walk almost every day but the VO2 is not updating. I do not use any other garmin device for tracking activity. My wife’s watch (same model) has no such issuses.

Okay, a running activity will yield the most accurate overall VO2 max estimate. This is the reading that will show in Garmin connect and will only update with additional run activities with GPS for the next 30 days. Other activity types will only update the overall VO2 max if the running activity is older than 30 days. Here is an article that talks a little bit more about this.
