My vivoactive 3 won’t count steps

My vivoactive won’t count steps or any other stat other than heart rate or gps tracked activities.

I’ve already restarted the watch, but am stumped.

Any other suggestions?

Hello! Can you sync the device with Garmin Express then unplug and hold the top left button for 45 seconds ignoring power off. Turn it back on and walk around for about 10 min and let me know if there is a difference.

I have the same problem! This morning my watch was counting the steps and suddenly it doesn't count the steps anymore. I''ve changed nothing in my settings, it just stopped. I also turned off my watch but nothing changed.

What do you mean with Garmin Express? I'm using Garmin Connect.

Hi! Can you plug the device into the computer and sync with Garmin Express Then unplug and hold the top left button for 45 seconds ignoring power off, then turn it back on and see if the device returns to counting steps.
