vivoactive 3 M SW 5.40 is now live

This update can be downloaded with Garmin Express or automatically through Garmin Connect Mobile. 

Change Log

  • Fixed an issue with some CIQ watch face data fields not updating

  • Fixed an issue where the music library could potentially become inaccessible

    I have the same issues with bluetooth connectivity and have tried everything from factory resetting the watch and phone.  Even tried the bluetooth clear cache.  Same result, watch Phone status is : waiting. How can I revert back to older firmware that works?

    Also can't pair to any of my phones anymore. Keeps losing connection.

    If I install the old beta 5.13 everything works fine, but connect pushes the update and it goeg back to 5.4 again.
    Very annoying...

    Can you please explain how you were able to downgrade to an earlier version. I'm having issues with the HR working and would like to downgrade.Thanks

    Still have problems on 5.4 with wifi... It worked if you set your 2.4 ghz network on your router to 802.11b - but not the other standards

    When will the wifi problems be fixed? its horrible, just release 5.41 with a little hotfix - please!

    Garmin don't  care about our problems... No reply's on chat, email, etc.
    I used Garmin all my life but this is really the last one...

    Can't use the watch for weeks now. So bad.

    After 3 weeks Garmin finaly replied me.

    BUT

    with the standard reconnect procedure even I told them that I already tried that and also tried 4 different devices (1 brand new Samsung s10e).

    The problem is 100% in the last firmware. Maybe in combination woth the bleutooth chip that is used in some models (seems that not every VA3M has the problem wich can point out that there are some different hardware versions).

    COME ON GARMIN! HOW CAN YOU JUST IGNORE THESE PROBLEMS???
    Big shame for a leading company...

  • Just purchased this one yesterday and the firmware that was installed was 5.20 - Was getting live Heart Rate on my Android phone. After 2 hours it updated the firmware to 5.40 and the live heart rate does not work, in fact it has not read a heart rate in over 24 hours. The Floor counts are not working either. Why after 2 months of bugs was this release not paused, and how do I revert to an older version of the firmware?

    I'm not sure it's related, but since few days my VA3M (5.40) does no more connect via BT to my Samsung J6, I've  rebooted  both devices and removed existing BT pairing then re-do the pairing but it does not work.

    Same phone still connects ok with another smartwatch and was not updated recently, so guessing issue is more on Garmin side.
