Try following those steps. It might work.

After updating latest software version, make sure the Watch Face you select is compatible to your device. Then, go through the following steps to solve your problem (Step by Step):

    1. In Garmin Connect App, go to Device Setting > Activities & Apps Management > Watch Faces.
    2. Uninstall All the interrupted Watch Faces.
    3. Sync your Garmin device in Garmin Connect App.
    4. Turn off and On your Garmin Device (Watch)
    5. In Garmin Connect App, go to Device Setting > Activities & Apps Management > Watch Faces.
    6. Reinstall the Watch Faces.
    7. Sync your device back.

This is ridiculous, going on and on with no resolution.  Now, even a reboot does not resolve the issue (let alone have you to re-synch the date and time via GPS).  It seems half of the charging sessions end up with the watch face gone.  Now, the latest is the IQ app Weekly Activity no longer works - just an IQ error.  I reinstalled the app but it still shows the error instead of the weekly activity display.  I don't think that Garmin is even looking at these posts, some are over 2 years old.

Figured it out w this post. Had to go to the Garmin IQ app instead. But it was the watch face that was the problem, that’s what helped me.

  • I have had this issue for almost a year. Very frustrating and find there is a big delay on screen illumination when wrist is turned to read the time.

I  just experienced after updating my phone and my watch.

my face watch dosent work properly and i have to reboot i have done it twice a day today.  Any fix?

  • How do I power back on?

    • One press of the power button boots the phone back up. To get the watch face back, touch the screen for a couple of seconds, select 'Watch Face', scroll to the one you want tap it and apply.
