Workout Data Screens

Is there a way of having just one screen to view during a workout? I've removed workout notes, yet still get a screen stating "No notes"!!?

During my run workout the watch toggles between 3 screens....

1. Workout step screen
2. Standard Data Screen
3. Notes (even if blank).

Is there a way of just showing the Workout screen, detailing the step you are on and the parameters set......isn't that a basic function to have? Every time I glanced down for a progress update, I seemed to be greeted with the "No notes" screen. Pretty much a useless screen.

Very annoying.

Any help would be appreciated.

  • Not any way that I could find. The way workouts are implemented on this watch, especially the screens, is my biggest beef with it.

Yeah, I've hated that stupid extra screen for months. I don't think it is possible to remove....but I sure wish it was.

    Frustrating as hell.

I'll not bother with workouts until it's fixed. Nor will I recommend this platform.

Garmin, sort this mess out. An easily fixed mess too.

Hi, I found your question while looking for the same. Maybe you have already got your answer but this is how I worked around the problem: I set my data field to 1 screen and I shut down the auto-scroll. This may not be the best solution, but just like you, I hate not being able to skip that "note" section and I use the workout feature to set my intervals for running.

  • In the activity, disable "auto scroll". I have three screens configured for the Indoor Walking activity and the watch stays on one field unless I swipe to scroll to the others.
