I was told at least November by a Garmin dealer today here in Canada. I guess I will be waiting. But that is not a bad thing .. the early adopters can tell us all about it.
Edit .. Best Buy is getting them first in the US apparently. It is an exclusive deal. Why Clever Training is having you wait.
In germany it is announced in the 4th quarter. Could be anything between October & December. Pre order is only available at saturn (big electronic market), "soon".
[OFFTOPIC] Pricing is a bit heavy... Mostly, the prices were made quite simple: 299$ (US) are converted in to 299? (EUR), which means ~52? more profit for garmin, due to the currency factor. Okay, it is working well in germany, right now. So we are paying more then others... Alright! But it is announced for 329? for the stainless and 359? for the slate model :( One-third more, which I can invest into a shipment from somewhere else, in the world ;)
Amazon have it listed as being available from the 5th October in the UK and US and pre order now. link below and if you are quick the UK pricing is only ?259 instead of 289. I was at a Garmin Live event in London and got hands on with the device and spoke to a few reps and its going to be more like mid October before it ships
