Is there a manual pause feature for my cycling?

I stop for food or beverages and even at 2mph my walking or standing around is recorded via pause, resume, pause, resume....etc.  I don't want to resort back to tracking with my iPhone on days I know I'm going to be on and off the bike.

Press the upper button during activity to pause manually and press again to resume? I haven't tested it with cycling, but that works with walking / running / strength training...

That might work. Top button stops it and shows the confirmation or trash screen....but leaving that up risks inadvertently trashing or ending .....but following your idea, after using the top button, I found I could swipe right into a Stat screen and again back to the clock face.    That holds it.  How long....idk but I can stop it.  I’ll try in a real setting and hope just walking doesn’t start it up again.

Thanks for the thought.  An actual pause feature would be better but a cheat code can work!

Grrrrrr.  As Monipro says, the limit is 10 minutes.   When I know I'll have that type of stop and go, I guess I'll use the Strava App for accuracy.
