Running Dynamics Pod / Venu

just got my Venu and first impressions are good. Hooked up my headphones, etc no problem byt then went to connect my Garmin Running Dynamics Pod. Doesn't seem to be compatible, used it last night on my 735 so I dont think its just a flat battery?

The venu doesn't support the RD pod, also some of the features of things like the HRM-TRI and HRM-Swim, and bike power sensors
