Watch strap causing welts on wrist

I Have recently purchased a new VEnu SQ but every time I wear it I get welts.  I have ensured that the strap is loose and not too tight.  Are there any other kinds of straps that can be used.  I have never had an issues with any other watch before, and have always worn a watch 24/7.  Any ideas or why this is happening or does anyone else have the same issue

  • If your skin is getting enough air and isn't clammy then it sounds like your skin might just not like the material. Any 20mm quick release strap should work with your watch if you want to try buying one made of a different material.

I have had issues in the past with silicon straps, but in my case I'm fairly sure it's due to my wrist being unable to "breath" and trapped sweat causing skin irritation.

  • Any 20mm quick release band will work for you and there are a ton of them on Amazon; I have about 8 bands myself.  I should mention that Garmin’s lugs are a tad bit longer then 20mm (which is super annoying) so if a band you order doesn’t come with longish pins they won’t hold.  I’ve only had to send one band back because of this but thought I’d mention it as it is a known fact.

  • Hello! i am so sorry to hear this has happened. Have you contacted Garmin just yet, if not I can help get this resolved.

  • Thank you I did try to contact garmen.  I have managed to purchase a leather strap on ebay which works.  Thanks
