Hello,
I recently acquired a Rally XC200 conversion kit for my Vector 3 dual pedals. Installation was very straightforward- cleaned and greased the spindles, tightened bolts to specifications and assembled properly. I installed new 675 batteries into both the pedals.
On each of the three rides I have used them, I have received notifications on the head unit that the batteries are low, right sensor is missing, then continuous connecting and disconnecting of the units until they are 'dead' and unable to connect. These notifications start to arrive within 20 minutes of start time. Each ride has been 90 minutes or less. Additionally, I am noticing a distinct lag in power response on the head unit as well.
I am using 2 675 batteries in each pedal (the same as I have used for the last few years). When placing in new batteries a second and third time, they will connect to the head unit but show that the battery health is at half despite being new from the box.
I do not have a way to check the health of individual batteries but I doubt new ones would die / drain after 30 minutes. I have swapped many sets at this point. I do note that the online instructions for the Rally pedals specify CR1 batteries and will try that soon. I never had any issue with 2 675s in its place.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a result of the battery type and or new battery doors? Open to any and all advice!
I have disassembled and reassembled to make sure there was not an install error. This never happened on my look pedal bodies with the same spindles. I have not tried reassembling my original pedals. Sorry if this has been answered previously. I have found nothing from my efforts. Thanks for your time!
EDIT:
I have tried it with CR1 batteries. While I have not ridden the pedals yet, the status page still says the same battery health as OK with 3 bars/~50% of the indicator. I will update after riding it tomorrow.
