I can't seem to get my Garmin Index Scale weight to sync from this account to MFP. However, as a test, I disconnected this account from MFP and connected a test Garmin account I created using a different email address to MFP and the weight for that second account synced just fine. I put everything back to use this Garmin account again and the weight still won't sync. What is wrong with this account that is preventing a weight sync to MFP?
MFP seems to think this is a Garmin issue and I can't get anyone at Garmin to even respond to my emails. What horrible customer service this company has.
Just discovered how weird this issue is and I think I just proved this is a bug on Garmin's side. If I manually enter a weight in Gamin the new weight is sent to MFP. It's only when I use the scale that the weight doesn't get sent over. Here is what I've done to test this.
Manually enter a new weight on the Garmin weight screen:
New entry is created in my Garmin weight history.
Weight under my account settings automatically get's update.
Weight under the device settings for my watch and scale automatically get's updated.
Weight is sent to my watch and scale.
Weight in MyFitnessPal automatically get's updated!!!!
Step on scale and sync to Garmin:
New entry is created in my Garmin weight history.
Weight under my account settings automatically get's update.
Weight under the device settings for my watch and scale automatically get's updated.
Weight is sent to my watch and scale.
No weight information is sent to MyFitnessPal!!!!
I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that this account is the primary account for the scale. I say this because all the other accounts attached to this scale send the weight information to MFP. I guess my next troubleshooting step will be to transfer ownership of the scale to one of the other accounts to see if that fixes the issue on this account.
