New Garmin Swim froze during installation

Hello, swimmers:

I was installing my new Garmin Swim watch, and following the initial steps from the manual, I plugged in the ANT Stick. Then the watch displayed the message "Connect to computer," and I have not been able to change that screen.

I have tried synching the device through the Garmin Express app, but it isn't working. How do I get the watch to work?

Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: Problem solved. I did a reset to factory settings, and was able to synch the watch. I look forward to taking it out for a swim tomorrow.
