Magnifying Lens for Garmin Swim...

Former Member

As a senior US Masters swimmer who requires reading glasses (~2.0 diopter), it is virtually impossible to read any numbers on the Garmin Swim while working out except for the darkened reverse block when paused. Is it possible to make a stick-on convex, soft plastic lens onto the watch crystal to help us oldsters see the display better?

Thanks!

I do have two suggestions that may help you in the short-term:
    1) It is possible to change when the screen is inverted (black background). By default, the screen is inverted when paused. If you would rather it be inverted when swimming and "normal" when paused, this is changed by going MENU > SWIMMING > INVERTED SCREEN.
    2) You can add a custom training page (it'll be the fifth page in the loop). If there is only one field you are interested in when swimming, then you could put that field on the custom page and maybe it would be easier to read (just one number?). To set this up go MENU > SWIMMING > CUSTOM PAGE > ... Now when you are swimming use the blue button to toggle to the fifth page.
