GPS very erratic after the update this week

....and the watch has just completed its 2 year warranty shield....

Corners are cut smoother than apple, straight road running is zigzaging like crazy. How am I supposed to train when Im running with 4.30 (m/km perceived effort, just a guess) and the watch tells me its 5.30-40-50 due to some giant turns it takes out of nowhere?

yeah 2 years passed and still an unfinished product:(((

Here I am running from Right-to Left and then UP.....on the right lane.

Battery: 60-70%

GPS: on Normal GPS (with glonass its even worse))

Recording: smart

  • Turn off smart, use 1 sec instead

Well switched to 1 sec recording, just slightly better....still zigzagging like crazy

I simply dont see the value we get for the price we pay:

1-GPS...if you dont run in a desert, they will tell you building and trees are ruining the accuracy. Buy a footpod...guess what? I have one. But it is also unreliable, beacuse it has to be calibrated. Even if you calibrate it for a certain shoe, depending on how tight or loose you lace, you change the angle of the footpod...so the pace and distance are again inaccurate. You have to calibrate it before every single run.

Thats why people go after footpod brands which reading are somewhat accurate even "uncalibrated"

2-HR....in the summer its the sweat that prevents correct readings. In the winter its the cold. (today I jogged with an HR reading close to my Vo2Max numbers :))) Solution? Buy an HR strap....

So what are the performance improvements in the watches, apart from battery life, that justify the given price hikes, or the prices in general, or the fact for accuracy we have to spend even more??

    I can hardly see anymore...
