Has anyone else experienced worsening GPS accuracy with age? My 735xt is now drifting all over the place, and seems to be cutting corners far worse than previously. Would accept accuracy issues if they were random, but when running with friends I seem to always be short (and therefore slower) on the same run. Looking at the GPS, the main issue is cutting corners, and GPS drift.
Not sure if this is a s/w issue causing the degradation, or simply a "feature" of ageing.
I have the latest 9.80 s/w.
Issues seen with GPS and GPS+GLONASS
Recording is "per second", although I'm wondering if internally it's ignoring this and somehow using Smart...
I've also just measured a course and the watch was short about 25 - 30m per km.
Here's an example of corner cutting in Bristol, UK. The Avon gorge is a tough location, but my buddies saw no problems. It took a long time to correct itself...
