Recover data

Hi all,

My Garmin Forerunner 735xt was giving me trouble when running, it wouldn't give accurate distance measures and GPS signal losses were constant so I decided to get in touch with the customer service. I was told to do a reset of the device so solve the problem. The thing is that I lost all my data as they didn't tell me to do a backup (I wasn't aware of that reseting the device was also going to delete all the files) so I asked for help to recover my data (as it was all stored in Garmin Connect). I wanted to get all my activities back so they told me how to do it. The procedure basically was to get into all activities in Garmin Connect (through my computer) and use the "Send to device" option. This isn't working for me, the activities I send to the device do not appear in the History/Activities section of the watch, and they are not answering anymore to my requests, they keep answering the same stuff. Can please anybody help me with this issue?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

  • Why having the activities in the watch when you have them in the Connect? The oldest activitites are anyway deleted when the memory is full. There is no advantage to keep activities in the watch except maybe training/racing comparing with the old activity. But you can save selected activity to Tracks and then it works too. Activity summaries work even with activitites are deleted.

I prefer to watch the activities in my Garmin as most of the times I don't wear my phone to run or whatever sport y practice and I like to check previous paces and the like. So I would like to recover my data but the instructions given to me by Garmin Support do not seem to work so I would really appreciate if someone could help me with the task.
