Data Field / Watch Face / Application Settings Not Preserved During Update

Hi,

when I update a Data Field / Watch Face / Application either through Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express and a USB cable all Data Field / Watch Face / Application settings are lost. I've tried everything I could think of, including resetting the watch to factory settings. I think the behaviour occurred after updating away from firmware 6.3.

Is anybody experiencing the same issue?

With GCM iOS, when you update, it actually does a uninstall and the installs the newest. The uninstall is why things get reset. (GCM/iOS started doing it this way a couple versions back) For me, Garmin Express actually does just an update, and all the settings are preserved.

I agree this is really annoying. I assume it's an unintended bug. I hope they'll fix it at some point.

I tried to report it but they had a hard time acknowledging it and I am still unsure whether anybody inside Garmin is working on it. For now I will resort to Garmin Express to update things.
