How are your watch bands holding up?

hi all,

mine isn't broken or close to broken, but i observed this weekend that the finish on the outside of the band has become uneven in look and feel. i can describe the area where i regularly clasp and pull through the band as shinier and also stickier in feel.

i should note that i wash it fairly often gently with hand soap/shampoo. mine initially was only used for running and hiking but in the past four months, it has become my daily watch.

(i took delivery on the watch in July 2016)

anyway, just curious. i'm guessing it will last at least a year, but i'd be curious how everyone's is holding up, especially those who use theirs intensely.

My band has a couple of marks, but is otherwise basically 100%.

Had the watch since the middle of last year and wear it 24/7, except for charging. Have ran something like 2000km with it and all good. I wash it in the shower as well (just with water usually).
  • Wear mine all day and sometimes at night and other than perhaps needing a bit of a clean looks and feels fine. Got it when first came out so that's getting on for a year now.
  • great feedback. as i thought more, i think i'm realizing what my "wear" is coming from: i am guessing it is from light resting of my wrist on my desk when typing on a laptop computer. (when i use my desktop computer, i have pretty good ergonomics and don't rest my wrist anywhere).

at last that's what i can come up with now as a plausible explanation for where i am seeing wear on the band.
