Turning off or changing alerts during activity?

I seem to remenber being able to change or turn off alerts during a run on the 920xt.
A HR-zone alert for example. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it on the 735xt.
Am I deceiving myself here?

You would need to stop the timer on a 735. Only then can you access activity settings.
