Photos on your watchface

Just came across this from DCrainmaker (no surprise)

http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/08/garmin-releases-strava-live-segments-for-running-muscle-oxygen-on-devices-photo-watch-faces.html

You can dl a garmin photo app and put photos as the watch face. My experience with it so far is that it tends to come out darker so I jack up the brightness of the actual photo and then use it which seems to work. It seems like Garmin is making the watches more like day-day watches like applewatch? I have thought about getting a Iwatch but for my workout needs there is no competition between the two.
  • I found the same thing where you have to pick the right picture, with the proper brightness, as on a watch, it doesn't look like to you see in the phone app when it comes to the picture

I was a bit surprised you couldn't pick anything else you may want to see, for example, the date. And maybe allow picking the color for the time (both analog and digital) so it would work with the picture... (maybe I missed something in this regard..)
