Wrong time

Today my watch started showing the wrong time. It's 45 minutes ahead of normal. My phone has the right time and have synced that way. My computer has the right time and have synced there. I have turned phone off and on. Now just turned the auto time off and entered manually. Anyone else experience this or have an idea why. It happened after I plugged into charger yesterday. A few days after 4.20 which everything seems fine.

Same here except the time was off by 4:56 minutes... An odd error that I can't attribute to reading a different gps time zone. I tried several resets syncs and finally entered manually.

Yes, now mine is off by about 5 minutes as well. Very weird.

In auto mode the watch gets its time from a GPS lock. Have you guys tried going outside?
  • Had the same problem, went outside an started an activity with GPS-lock and stopped directly. After that I once again had the correct time.
  • that´s correct and it works. Thanks. I would never have guessed

    Same issue here...

Love the 735xt, looks and feels great, customizable, feature full and what not. However...........

I've had the same "Wrong time" issue several times in the last week, wich is the length of time I've owned the 735xt.

The first time it happened I turned "Auto-off" and entered the time manually. Next day tried again "Auto on" and it was fine for a couple of days until it decided to change to something like a couple of hours off.
I noticed that if I started an activity that uses GPS the watch seemed to react and time was back to be spot on. If it's reading the time from the GPS it should not be off for the simple reason of being indoors, there must be something else, and 3 times in a week doesn't look like a good score to me...

This is not the only issue I've had, and I'll be posting them in their respective threads.

You don't need to start an activity, just get a GPS lock so the watch can identify your location on Earth and update the time accordingly.

Why it's losing time in the first place is a different question. Are you turning the watch off?
  • I think I have identified the error

Thanks for the GPS fix; that works. The time gets messed up when you plug the unit in to charge or connect to the computer and the unit is not connected (watch to contacts) correctly. This has happened twice to me where I missed a contact and instantly saw time revert to something random. I have replicated the issue.

I am having the same problem and it drive me nuts, it happens when I connect my watch to computer today.

What do you mean by "missed a contact"?
