Warranty Replacement Time?

Anyone ever had to get a warranty replacement for their 645 (or any garmin watch)? Mine is doing super odd things so garmin is going to just replace it for me. Wondering how long it takes (once they receive the watch) to send out a replacement.

Good thing I still have my old fenix 3!!

    Hi,

It might be different in different countries but in the UK I generally get my replacement posted a day after they receive my watch.

    thanks
    Simon
  • By the way, what are 'super odd things'? Just curious. Did Support get you to do a master reset?
  • BrewPatriot - how old is the watch - you could first go back to the retailer. I'm also in UK and as per simondp I've got a replacement within a week
  • Every Garmin I have owned I have had to return it within the warranty period for some reason, the 645M is no exception. I always buy from Wiggle (UK), you can contact them to say it's faulty and providing it is still within warranty return it (free with Collect +) for a full refund, then simply place an order for a new one. I've never had any issues with them. I've just had to return mine due to the down button being stuck. I wouldn't touch Garmin Support with a bargepole as they will just send you as reconditioned watch and not until they have inspected your old watch. As someone who runs 5-6 day a week I can't be without my watch for days.
  • I bought my 645 on March 14, 2018. I had the backlight issue so contacted them for a replacement .I was training for a half marathon and couldn't be without my watch for several days. The garmin service rep suggested I purchase a new one and return the faulty one for a refund. Problem solved! Today, my 645 broke .The part of the watch where the pin that holds the band in place broke. Had I not purchased a new one and submitted for a refund last year, I would not be under warranty. I will try to do the same again!
