This watch has been on the market for nearly 1 year.
Are there any signs for its successor in the near future... somewherish 2019 or so?
.... and the questions:
- what will the (new) features be?
- formfactor/sizes?
- when will it be released?
I think the 645 is a pretty perfect watch, had mine 11 months, love it.
I'm a pretty happy customer too. I think functionality-wise the 645m is pretty hard to improve on and certainly better than anything else currently out there.
My suggestions for improvements would be mostly around hardware (although not necessarily achievable):
- Thinner and lighter
- Longer battery life (as an alternative to the above)
- Smaller bezel (i.e. a greater proportion of the watch face as a display)
- Higher resolution screen (like the Edge 130)
- Better contrast ratio, especially when viewed at an angle
Surely the priority for Garmin is to fix the dodgy altimeter and false lap pace readings at the start of runs?
they could get rid of the barometer as far as I care. It belongs on an activity tracker rather than a running watch.
