Each day I start and finish my run at the same location, under open skies with no nearby trees or buildings. My 645 typically takes 3-4 minutes to get the "GPS Ready" notification (software v3.70, GPS Normal setting) after I select the Run activity. My 630 never had this problem; it virtually always had a GPS fix as soon as I selected the run activity at this location. Is anyone else having this experience?
As i wrote in the others tread, i have the same problem with my 645m. On my Watch, EPO is current, but the initial GPS fix is very long (2 or 3 min). I have also thinked EPO was "expired" but no. However the problem looks like an expired EPO.
I've had the same problem with very slow GPS fix and outdated EPO, but after the Garmin Express ver 6.8.1 rolled out today and a sync of the FR645 my EPO is current and the GPS fix is back to 5-7 seconds. Probably Garmin found a fix….
Mine does something completely opposite. It will alert that the GPS ready when I walk out the door. If I start my run like that, it is a good 100ft+ off the road (eventually it catches up and my track is fine). So despite it being "ready", I wait a minute then start my activity.
